Drive — file browser with a multipart upload in flight, per-part progress segments
Printed reproduction — not to scale

A self-hosted file store built around one hard problem: uploading a very large file over a connection that will not stay up. One Go binary serves the API and the React/TypeScript app; bytes travel browser-to-storage over presigned S3 multipart URLs, every confirmed part is durable state in Postgres, and interrupted uploads resume from the last confirmed part. Per-part MD5/ETag checks and ledger reconciliation carried an 11 GiB upload across 1,127 parts; a 220 MiB production round trip verified by SHA-256. Files share over revocable links with optional password, expiry, and download caps; Playwright drives the browser proof.

Tap to explode

A canvas-style learning management system where moderators create courses, assign instructors, and manage enrollments. Role-based access spans users, instructors, moderators, and admins via Supabase auth; course materials — PDFs, videos, quizzes — live in Azure Blob Storage over a relational PostgreSQL schema. The React/TypeScript frontend serves dynamic dashboards, assignment tracking, and calendar-based progress views.

Built in 48 hours with two teammates at ShellHacks 2024. A wallet app that answers one question at the register: which card? Merchant data is read over NFC/EMV, located via the Google Maps API, and fed to a Perplexity AI model that recommends the card maximizing rewards for that purchase. Auth0 handles authentication; Supabase stores card metadata; the frontend is Next.js.

SHEET 04/06 — Revision History — Experience

  1. REV EMAY 2026 — PRESENT

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant — George Mason University

    • CS 310 Data Structures (Summer 2026) and CS 405 Ethics and Law in Computing (Fall 2026): office hours, Piazza, and grading for 100+ students — from debugging Java trees and hash tables to scoring the mock trial.
  2. REV DOCT — DEC 2025

    Software Engineer Intern — Airstitch

    • AI startup with two founders, since acquired.
    • Built and tested the OAuth flow new users went through to connect their first integration; traced auth and API edge cases end to end and wrote the in-app copy for that flow.
    • Worked with users on Slack every day and shipped fixes the same day.
  3. REV CSEP — NOV 2025

    Founding Engineer — TheCollegeTech

    • Built a Learning Management System with a TypeScript/React frontend and Django REST backend: authentication, account management, and role-based access control on Supabase.
    • Designed the course creation, enrollment, and content workflows, with paginated and filtered SQL queries.
    • Set up CI/CD with automated tests, wrote the API documentation, and ran code reviews.
  4. REV BJUN 2023 — PRESENT

IT Technician, College of Engineering — George Mason University

    • Keep 10–15 computer labs (~30 machines each) at ~95% uptime; Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripts automate imaging and configuration across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
    • Support faculty, staff, and graduate assistants; documented fixes cut repeat tickets.
  5. REV AAUG 2022

B.S. Computer Science — enrolled — George Mason University

I'm Rahul — a CS senior at George Mason, previously a software engineer intern at Airstitch and founding engineer at TheCollegeTech, where I designed systems and then lived with my decisions. I care about interfaces that feel considered, backends that don't fall over, and the space where the two meet.

Between TA office hours and shifts keeping the engineering college's computer labs alive, I'm usually deep in LeetCode or reading about system design, AI, distributed systems, and low-level programming. Off the clock: video games and philosophy — usually not at the same time.

I've also built at HackPrinceton 2024, PatriotHacks and other hackathons at George Mason, usually with a team of friends and one weekend to get from an idea to a working demo. We didn't win prizes, but our demos got noticed by judges and recruiters, and judges told us they might use what we built themselves. Hackathons are where I learned to cut scope hard and ship working software fast.
